Novel Bio RecoveryLLC ("Novel Bio Recovery," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to information you provide when you contact us by phone or in writing.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to your inquiry and deliver our services. This includes:
- Information you provide — your name, phone number, email address, property address, and any details you share when you call or message us about a service request.
- Service information — the nature of the incident, scope of work, photographs we take during cleanup for documentation, and any insurance or billing information you authorize us to handle.
- Automatically collected information — your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through standard server logs and any analytics tools we use.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your call or inquiry and schedule services
- Perform and document the cleanup work you have requested
- Bill your insurance carrier or invoice you directly for services rendered
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and reporting obligations
- Improve our services and the operation of this website
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for purposes other than those described in this policy.
3. When we share information
We share information only with parties who need it to help us deliver services to you, or where we are legally required to do so. This may include:
- Insurance carriers — when you authorize us to bill your insurance for cleanup services.
- Service providers — third parties that help us operate the business (waste haulers, payment processors, hosting providers). They are bound to use information only for the purpose we engage them.
- Advertising measurement — a scrambled, one-way version of your phone number, sent to Google so we can tell which advertisement led to your call. It cannot be turned back into your number, and it is never used to advertise to you. See section 5.
- Legal compliance — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, customer information may transfer to the successor entity.
4. Cookies and tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize repeat visitors, analyze traffic, and improve performance. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the site.
We also show you a phone number for the area you are in, or for the advertisement you arrived from. To do that we read the approximate location our hosting provider works out from your internet connection — the city and state, never a street address — and, if you clicked one of our advertisements, we store which region that advertisement was for in a small cookie on your device for thirty days. That cookie holds nothing but a place name. If you block cookies we simply show you the number for the area you appear to be in.
5. Phone calls and call recording
Inbound and outbound calls with Novel Bio Recovery may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and documentation purposes. Recordings are stored on access-controlled systems and retained alongside the related job file (typically seven years; see Data retention below).
Florida residents: Florida is a two-party consent state. If you are calling from Florida, our inbound greeting will state that the call may be recorded; by continuing the call you consent to the recording. If you do not consent, tell the person who answers and we will document the call by written note instead.
You may request a copy of, or the deletion of, any call recording in which you are a participant by contacting us using the details in section 13.
If you called after clicking one of our advertisements, we send Google a scrambled, one-way version of your number so we can tell which advertisement produced the call. Nothing legible leaves us — no name, no recording, no transcript, and nothing about why you called — and the scrambled version cannot be turned back into your number by us or by Google. We do this for calls only, never for text messages, and never to advertise to you.
6. Text messages (SMS)
Our published phone numbers can also receive text messages. If you text one of them, we collect your mobile number, the content of your message, and the time it was sent, so that a member of our team can read it and reply.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. We use text messaging only to reply to people who contact us and to communicate about work we are arranging or carrying out. We run no subscription lists, alerts, or campaigns, so message frequency depends entirely on the conversation you are having with us.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do share it with the providers who make messaging work — our call and messaging platform, mobile networks, and similar vendors — solely so that your message can be delivered to us and ours to you. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for any purpose.
We may disclose message information where doing so is necessary to satisfy a legal, regulatory, or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property. This section governs your use of text messaging with Novel Bio Recovery and does not replace the rest of this Privacy Policy, which continues to apply to our relationship with you in other contexts.
You can stop receiving texts from us at any time by replying STOP; see our Terms of Service for how STOP and HELP work. Messages are kept alongside the related job file on the same schedule as other customer records (see Data retention below).
7. Data retention
We keep customer records only as long as needed to deliver services, handle billing and insurance claims, comply with tax and regulatory obligations, and resolve any disputes. Records related to specific jobs are typically retained for seven (7) years from the date of completion, consistent with standard business and tax recordkeeping requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. This site is delivered over HTTPS, and customer records are stored on access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with the Georgia Personal Identity Protection Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-912) and any other applicable law.
9. Your choices and rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your information, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements
- Opt out of any non-essential communications
California residents have additional rights under the California Online Privacy Protection Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
10. Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
